BIOGRAPHY
Schofield was an NHL journeyman. The defenseman originally broke into the league in 1976-77 with the Detroit Red Wings and went on to play for the Montreal, St. Louis, Washington, Pittsburgh and Winnipeg before retiring in 1988.
He found his role as a bruiser and fighter and used it to play in 211 career NHL games.
