Pavese had his best years with the Blues

Pavese, a defenseman, played in the NHL from 1981-89. He was selected in the third round, No. 54 overall, in the 1980 NHL Draft. Pavese played with the St. Louis Bues from 1981-88, appearing in 263 regular-season games and scoring 44 points. He also played in 29 playoff games for St. Louis and had five assists. His best two season statistically came in 1985-86 and 1986-87 as he scored 11 points in both of those campaigns.
